During summer 2016, two siblings from Greece traveled to Uganda in order to implement the voluntary, educational and non-funded H-Ug project in the depths of Africa. Marilena and Konstantinos implemented educational activities with an aim to inform and support students about studying opportunities in Europe.

After their return to Greece, they created a documentary about the experiences, activities in Africa and interviews from the protagonists. The siblings participated in several events through which they presented the program and the documentary. The impact of H-Ug Project is great not only in local African communities but also in European ones.
The H-Ug Project team is growing and is preparing for a second project, this time within Europe. The "H-Ug Project in the Balkans" includes activist and educational activities in the Balkans and initially aims to inform and motivate youth and also to collect stationary for students in African schools.

The H-Ug Project team will visit the school Colegiul Naţional Fraţii Buzeşti and will present the program, the documentary "Uganda through our eyes" and implement experiential activities with students related to volunteering and education.

13.04, Setingie Montenegro: Event in cooperation with the NGO “Active Zone” with a focus on “The value of volunteerism”. The H-Ug Project team will organize this event addressed mainly to young people. There will be a presentation of the program, screening of the documentary and experiential activities with the participants.

14 & 15.04, Sarajevo in Bosnia: Open bazaars and activist actions on central squares of the city to promote and give African local products as well as postcards of the H-Ug Project.

16 & 17.04, Belgrade Serbia: Open bazaars and activist actions on central squares of the city to promote and give African local products as well as postcards of the H-Ug Project.

18.04, Nis in Serbia: Event in cooperation with the NGO “Aktilum” with a focus on "The value of volunteerism." The H-Ug Project team will organize this event addressed mainly to young people. There will be a presentation of the program, screening of the documentary and experiential activities with the participants.

19.04, Skopje in FYROM: Event with a focus on "The value of volunteerism". The H-Ug Project team will visit the International Nova School and will present the program, the documentary and implement experiential activities with students related to volunteering and education.

20 - 28.04, Le Mans in France: The H-Ug Project will be represented in the youth exchange program entitled «Human Rights Here Wright Now», during which there will be a presentation of the program and screening of the documentary "Uganda through the our eyes."

29.04, Chalkida in Greece: The H-Ug Project team will participate in an event organized by various educational institutions of the city and will give a TED ED talk in a platform for secondary school students about the value of education and volunteering.
