Marilena Maragkou represented H-Ug project in the three 2day training seminars of the Jean Monnet project “Include European Union Values-IncludU” at Thessaloniki on 2nd & 3rd of February 2017, at Mytilene on 21st and 22nd of February 2017 and in Athens on 10th and 11th of March 2017. The project is being conducted by the Jean Monnet Chair on European Union’s Education, Training, Research and Innovation Policies of the Department of International and European Studies, of the School of Economics, Business and International Studies, University of Piraeus.
The programme targets students and young people, teachers of all levels and focuses on fundamental values of the European Union, such as multiculturalism, equality, tolerance and non-discrimination in order to familiarize themselves with these values and the fruitful exchange of ideas and experiences through interactive and experiential workshops and innovative teaching methods.
In the framework of the activities of the project, H-Ug project participated in the workshop «Live Library" and constituted one of the live books. More than 400 students and teachers of secondary education had the change to get to know H-Ug and watch a part of the documentary “Uganda through our eyes”.
